Heavy rain flushed us through the streets of Porto till we found a small gallery with an exhibition of an artistic collectiv called (Rua do) Sol (… isn’t it ironic?). This group of eight young artists have had their first combined exhibition this evening. The attic (better call it ‚creative space‘) in the building next door is where they are working together but everybody in their own and special way.
The building itself belongs to an organisation called Circulo Catolico de Operarios do Porto (CCOP) which provides space to a theatre-group, table tennis, cardgame fanatics, young soccer players and a small café/bar as well.
If you visit Porto, be on the lookout for activities of the Sol-collective or pay a visit to the CCOP during daytime. You can get a beer there and maybe some great impressions.
Afterwards we had a good time partying in a Club called Maus Hábitos. It’s just a few steps from (Rua do) Sol.
